PAYET Love & Care Guide

Caring for your garments is an act of devotion — to the Earth, to the hands that made them, and to yourself.

At PAYET, every piece is created through slow fashion practices — using peace silk, botanical dyes, and natural fabrics. With mindful care, your garments can live with you for many years, reducing textile waste and supporting a more sustainable fashion future.

Extending the life of your clothing is one of the most powerful ways to reduce water consumption, carbon impact, and environmental pollution within the fashion industry.

Below is our recommended Luxury Garment Care Guide to help you protect your pieces.

Fresh Air First

Silk and natural fibers have self-cleansing properties.
Often, simply hanging your garment in fresh air will naturally refresh it — no washing needed.

This gentle method preserves the fabric while reducing water and energy use.

Eco Dry Cleaning

When dry cleaning is needed, we recommend choosing eco-friendly dry cleaners.

Avoid harsh chemicals like perchloroethylene (perc) and hydrocarbons, which can damage delicate fabrics and harm the environment.

Look for cleaners using silicone-based or green solvents — safer for your garment and for the planet.

Hand Washing (Recommended)

Hand washing is the most sustainable way to clean delicate luxury garments.

• Use cold water
• Add a small amount of eco-friendly detergent
• Gently move the garment — do not wring or twist

This method protects botanical dyes and reduces wastewater pollution.

Note: Slight color release may occur due to the natural dye process.

Machine Washing

If your garment includes a machine-wash label:

• Use cold wash only
• Select delicate cycle
• Wash inside a garment bag if possible

Cold washing helps preserve color, fabric integrity, and reduces carbon footprint.

De-Creasing & Steaming

We recommend steaming instead of ironing.

• Hang garments vertically
• Use a garment steamer for gentle crease release

For an eco ritual: hang your garment in the bathroom while showering — natural steam softens wrinkles beautifully.

Line Dry Only

Always air dry your garments.

• Hang or lay flat to dry
• Avoid machine dryers
• Keep away from direct sunlight to preserve natural dyes and silk fibers

A Final Note of Care

Your PAYET piece is more than clothing — it is wearable art.

Crafted from peace silk, botanical dyes, and natural fibers, each garment carries the imprint of the earth and the artisan’s hand.

Caring for it mindfully ensures its beauty endures for years — honoring both sustainability and slow luxury.
